Aleutian Sea Otters (Enhydra lutris), Izembek Lagoon, Alaska Peninsula
The shallow eelgrass beds of Izembek Wildlife Refuge provide vital habitat for wintering arctic waterfowl, and also a home for a large population of threatened Aleutian Sea Otters, whose populations have declined dramatically in the past two decades.

Meanwhile, Kevin will only be leading one photo expedition in 2008, with Lindblad Expeditions and National Geographic to magical South Georgia Island.
