Rockhopper surfing

Rockhopper Penguins (Eudyptes chrysocome)  riding big surf, Falkland islands

I know that birds aren't supposed to be having fun, especially such hard-working, no-nonsense creatures as penguins.

But as large waves  pounded the coast of the Falklands, returning Rockhoppers seemed all too happy to take

advantage of the surge to get in a little surfing.
