SOUTH GEORGIA AND THE FALKLAND ISLANDS
A Photo Expedition
with National Geographic and Lindblad Expeditions
October 17 - November 2, 2008
I will only be leading one photo trip this coming year, as a Guest Photographer aboard the NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC ENDEAVOUR in late 2008. This 17-day journey will concentrate on two of my favorite places : the Falkland Islands and South Georgia. Both offer among the best opportunities for wildlife photography on the planet, and this voyage will have time enough to explore each area in depth.
The Falklands is, of course, the home of the Rockhopper Penguin and the Black-Browed Albatross - gathered in enormous colonies along the fringes of this remote British archipelago. South Georgia, meanwhile, is an utterly magical place, with spectacular mountain scenery, compelling history, and one of the greatest collections of wildlife I have ever seen.
For more information, download the itinerary from Lindblad Expeditions.
If you have any questions about the trip, or the photographic opportunities, please let me know.
